Global Business Mobility Visa

Global Business Mobility Visa

The Global Business Mobility visa allows you to come to the UK for various business-related purposes under specific routes tailored for different roles and circumstances. It is designed to facilitate the mobility of employees between international branches of businesses, supporting global business operations and growth.

This visa does not directly lead to settlement in the UK. However, you may be able to switch to another immigration route that leads to settlement. Applicants can bring their partner and dependent children, provided they meet eligibility requirements.

Eligibility

To qualify for a Global Business Mobility Visa, you must satisfy UK Visas and Immigration that:

  • You are aged 18 or over.

  • You are currently employed by a business or organisation linked to your UK sponsor through common ownership, control, or a joint venture.

  • You meet the specific requirements of the chosen route under the Global Business Mobility scheme, such as:

    • Senior or Specialist Worker

    • Graduate Trainee

    • Secondment Worker

    • UK Expansion Worker

    • Service Supplier

  • You have a valid Certificate of Sponsorship issued by your UK sponsor for the job you plan to undertake.

  • The job is genuine, skilled to the required level, and meets any applicable salary thresholds.

  • You have sufficient funds to support yourself without relying on public funds.

  • You have provided a valid TB certificate, if required.

The exact requirements may vary depending on your circumstances and the specific route. Consulting an immigration lawyer is recommended for expert advice.

Duration of Stay

The duration of stay varies depending on the specific Global Business Mobility route. In general:

  • Your stay is limited to the time specified on your Certificate of Sponsorship plus 14 days, or a maximum time permitted under the chosen route.

  • Extensions may be possible, subject to the maximum time allowed for the route.

Some routes may have combined time limits with other visas, restricting the total time you can spend in the UK under related categories.
